After a long period of dormancy, "Island in the Sun" is the first new Biggest Rat release. The album features a curated handful of songs from a larger pool of work written and recorded in an attic during the summer of 2024. In contrast to my earlier work, the production is raw and only slightly colored by experimentation. For once, I didn't treat the "studio as an instrument" but rather focused on the songs.
